PASURUAN, East Java (Antara): All Malang-Surabaya railway services have been halted after a section of railway tracks in Porong, Sidoarjo, East Java was inundated by hot mudflow that has been coming out of Lapindo Brantas drilling operations.
Meanwhile, all trains serving Surabaya-Banyuwangi route have to take different routes to avoid the inundated section of the railway track, Harijanto, a local railway company official, said on Tuesday.
Harijanto said other activities that had been disrupted because of the incident.
He said practically the container train that carried around 40 containers a day had stopped operation.
